Imperative Sentence

Imperative Sentence से आज्ञा(Order),प्रार्थना(Request)या सलाह(Advice)प्रकट होता है।

Rule 1-जब Imperative Sentence में 'आदेश'का भाव प्रकट हो इसे Passive में निम्न प्रकार बदलें

        Active Voice की बनावट

M.V.(first form)+object

        Passive voice की बनावट

 Let+object+be+M.V.(third form)

                  Examples

Active-post this letter.

Passive-Let this letter be posted.

Active-Tell him to wait.

Passive-Let him be told to wait.

Active-Open the door.

Passive-Let the door be opened.

Active-Bring a glass of water.

Passive-Let a glass of water be brought.

Active-Call the peon.

Passive-Let the poor be called.

Active-Open the windows.

Passive-Let the windows be opened.

Active-Post this letter at once.

Passive-Let this letter be posted at once.

Active-Put the bottle on the table.

Passive-Let the bottle be put on the table.

Active-Open the door.

Passive-Let the door be opened.

Active-Shut all the doors.

 Passive-Let all the doors be shut.

Active-Stop the singing and dancing.

Passive-Let this singing and dancing be stopped.

Active-Tell him to leave the room at once.

Passive-Let him be told to leave the room at once.

Note-जब Imperative Sentence Negative हो (अर्थात Do not का प्रयोग हो)तो Passive Voice की बनावट निम्न प्रकार होगी-

Let+subject+not+be+M.V.+(third form)

Active-Do not kill the bird.

Passive-Let the bird not be killed.

Active-Do not abuse Rohan.

Passive-Let Rohan not be abused.

Active-Do not disturb him.

Passive-Let him not be disturbed.

Active-Do not insult the poor.

Passive-Let the poor not be insulted.

Active-Do not tease him.

Passive-Let him not be teased.

 जब Imperative Sentence  में सलाह या प्रार्थना का भाव हो तो इसे Passive में Let से भी बदल सकते हैं और Should का प्रयोग भी कर सकते हैं।

Subject+should be+M.V.(third form)

Active-Support the weak.

Passive-Let the weak be supported.

                               Or

The weak should be supported.

Active-Respect your teachers.

Passive-Let your teachers be respected.

                                 Or

Your teachers should be respected.

Rule 2- अगर प्रार्थना सूचक(Imperative) वाक्यों में Please  आए तो Passive Voice  बनाते समय

 'you are requested to' का प्रयोग होता है। यदि वाक्य में सलाह या सुझाव का बोध हो तो Passive Voice  में " You are advised to" का प्रयोग करते हैं। जैसे-

Active-Please go to school.

Perceive-You are requested to go to school.

Active-Please give him a book.

Passive-You are requested to give him a book.

Active-Obey the rules of the road.

Passive-You are advised to obey the rules of the road.

Active-Keep to the left. 

Passive-You are advised to keep to the left.

Active-Please help the needy.

Passive-You are requested to help the needy.

 अगर हम चाहें  तो Do not  से शुरू होने वाले वाक्य को भाव के अनुसार निम्न तरह भी  बदल कर सकते हैं-

Active-Do not run in the class.

Passive-You are ordered not to run in the class.

                               Or

you are forbidden not to run in the class.

Note-Ordered और forbidden (मना करना) में बस इतना सा अंतर है कि Ordered  के साथ not लगता है जबकि forbidden के साथ not  नहीं लगता है। जैसे-

 Active-Do not sleep in the day.(सलाह)

Passive-You are advised not to sleep in the day.

                                Or

You are forbidden  to sleep in the day.

Active-Do not insult anyone.

Passive-You are advised not to insult anyone.

                             Or

You are forbidden to insult anyone.

Rule- यदि Imperative Sentence-- let  से शुरू हो तो Passive में निम्न प्रकार बदलते हैं।

( you are requested to+Let से शुरू होने वाला वाक्य)

 Active-Let me go now.

Passive-you are requested to let me go now.

Active-Let the child sleep.

Passive-You are requested to let the child sleep.

Active-Let me do this work.

Passive-You are requested to let me do this work.
