The Lost Child
Q.1-What are the three things the child see on his way to the fair? Why does he lag behind?
Ans. The child see toys, balloon, garland of gulmohar displayed in the shop. He lags behind because these things fascinate him.
Q.2-In the fair he wants many things. What are they ? Why does he move on without waiting for an answer?
Ans. The boy wants to buy toys, burfi, flowers and balloon etc.But he moves on without waiting for an answer because he knows that his parents will not buy them for him.
Q.3- When does he realise that he has lost his way? How have his anxiety and insecurity been described?
Ans. There was a round about in the fair. The boy watched it. He wanted to go on the round about. He requested to his parents. There was no reply. When he turned to look at his parents,he found that he had lost his way. His parents were not with him. He cried in fear. Tears rolled down from his eyes.
Q.4- Why does the lost child lose interest in the things that he wanted earlier?
Ans. The child wanted to buy a number of things. He wanted to go on roundabout. He wanted to listen the music of snake charmer. But now he did not have the interest in them because he had lost his mother and father.
Q.5- What do you think happens in the end? Does the child find his parents?
Ans. I think the man would have taken the boy to the police on duty in the fair. The police would have announced through the loud speaker and the child would have been restored to his parents. In this way the man had helped the child.
Q.6- How to ensure not to get lost?
Ans- It has been observed very often that children get lost in fairs or crowd. There are certain rules which should followed to ensure not to get lost. Before entering a crowded place fix a place to wait there incase of getting lost. If you have a small child, put a sleep of your address in his pocket. A child should keep the hands of his parents grasped in his own while entering crowd. He should not watch the other way and keep an eye on his parents so as not to be lose sight of them.

Ans. The boy was fascinated by the toys in the shops. The father looked at him with red eyes. The boy was familiar with that look. There was a tyranny in his eyes. So the child understood that he could not have the toys.

Ans. There was a large crowd near the entrance of the temple. The child might be trampled underfoot. He cried loudly. A man lifted him up. He took him to roundabout to soothe him. He took him to the snake charmer. He offered him to buy flowers, balloon, sweets but the child was crying for his mother and father.
